Augmenting Security with Ticket Based Algorithm in proxy mobile IPV6 networks

چکیده

Network security provides the network with the authorization of access to data in a network, which is prohibited by the network administrator. Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) supports mobility management without the participation of mobile nodes it support mobility management in any mobility-related signaling. In comparison with other existing methods, PMIPv6 has decreased signaling overhead and the handover latency yet it has packet loss problem and long authentication latency problem during handoff. In PMIPv6 networks, secure password authentication mechanism (SPAM) is used for protecting a valid user from attacks. SPAM is a good authentication scheme which performs the efficient authentication procedure locally with low computational cost. This proposed work supports global access technique using ticket-based authentication technique. In this paper, Ticket based fast re-authentication scheme is proposed, which allows user’s mobile terminals to use only one ticket to communicate with their neighbor Access Points. This protocol not only reduces the mobile terminal’s computation cost but also provides user ID protection to protect user privacy. Through this technique, it can implement handover authentication protocol and incurs low communication and computation costs, which in turn results in less computation and communication delay when compared with other existing methods.
